Hi all
I've been rooting around on Google trying to find a definitive source of reference material about famous/well-known art. Like technique, what makes a picture/artist so good...style and so on. I'm a total beginner when it comes to art, so I look at a painting, say, Mona Lisa, and think, ok, that's nice, but what made it such a masterpiece...a sort of breakdown of the painting...colour, style etc. Do you see what I'm getting at? I've found articles scattered all over, but not quite what I'm after.
I'll spend more time a-lookin' but thought I'd ask you kind folks.....
