Today it's Wimbledon on the box and I'm banished to the studio...
Its too hot to paint with the doors and windows shut...
It's too windy with them open and hellish trying to paint...
So I spent some time in the POL Gallery, the first time for a long time, revisiting old friends and looking at new works from new posters etc.
Could we all take the trouble to photograph with the picture horizontal...
Post it the right way up...you know the portrait has the neck at the bottom [not over on the left or right]...
Could we all crop the picture...cut out what else is in the room...
We need to have pride in our work and present its image on POL with that same pride and professionalism...
If the image looks bad on your computer screen it will not magically improve by posting it to The POL Gallery.
Perhaps The POL Team could write an article/guide "How to Photograph Your Art for Posting to A Website, such as The POL Gallery"...and put it into all of their magazines!
