Not seen any mention of the Pier Arts Centre (the in my hometown Stromness,) That changed this week when I saw a piece in the Artist for September edition delivered on Friday last week I had been in to see this just the day before the magazine arrived. Great gallery by the way and it’s free.The Pier Arts Centre is a real gem — a free gallery with a strong collection of modern and contemporary art, plus regularly changing exhibitions. Being right by the harbour in Stromness makes it even more special. Definitely worth popping in if you’re in Orkney.
