The date is 30/01/2008 which surprisingly is not specified on forum posts here, David H is the full name registered in the gallery. What relevance is the time I wonder, well it was quarter past 12 and I will restate it is called "Feline Study" Congrtulations for specifying such a rigid format.

It won't be Syd once I get my new abstract photographed ready to upload. David is a prolific artist with his lovely freestyle work, some of us just a bit slower! iPad all recovered now?

I am not that prolific, just have the wind in my sails at the moment as I have some new sketchpads to fill up :) Just posted a picture "Hamlet" in the gallery at 15:36 02/02/2018 under the name David H, it is an A4 acrylic study...

I did wonder if it'd turn out this way, Syd, but said nothing to see if it might work. I visit the Gallery every day, the Forum slightly more often - and generally, I see new posts without having to be directed to them. I think that if everyone posted a notice that they'd put a new picture up, unless (crucially!) there were a dedicated box for it, you'd have people wandering over different threads, as I fear they are, and then forgetting or being unable to post a link, which makes it a bit pointless. Dawn could add a box specifically for these notices, but I say 'could' - whether she will is something else again; I can see arguments for and against. Maybe contact her to see what she thinks? I think that would be courteous, apart from anything else - the Forum and website aren't our property after all (and this isn't a subtle way of implying a rebuke, but I think changes and developments should be discussed with the webmaster: this site has been planned quite carefully, and generally works well). It was a good idea, to meet a particular problem - the problem though is that when you post a picture, it can zip off the front page, and the subsequent ten pages, at vast speed: short of limiting the number of daily postings (and there are problems with that, too! Chiefly that there are now so many of us on the site) I don't really think there's any one work-around. I think, in short, that your idea could do with a tweak, and a word with Dawn might be helpful. She's VERY understanding (creep, crawl, insinuate) and an all round good egg.....
