I have got frustrated with the limited tonal range with which my digital camera depicts my paintings; I have tried all the advice you all so kindly gave before, but concluded that the camera has it's limits. I don't really want to buy a digital SLR just for this task, but I think I have come up with a possible solution: if you take 35 mm film in for processing now you get the pictures digitally recorded on a cd as well as the negatives and prints! Anyway, I dusted off my old 35 mm Pentax SLR, splashed out a tenner for a new battery so when I get the chance I'll give it a go.
