Just watched this on iplayer. Predictably it concentrated on Mr Weston's story with all the human interest and triumph over adversity stuff all accompanied by poignant music, with only about a quarter of the prog on artist Nicky Phillips doing the actual painting. But two things were interesting; how she paints sight sized with the canvas next to the sitter but viewing and mixing from a distance, meaning long walks between each brushstroke, and that she keeps her palette in the freezer overnight to keep the paint fresh. That is a new one on me, I think the wife would have something to say about me keeping my paint in with the frozen peas...
