I wonder if anyone is watching this series about arts and crafts. It's been on each morning this week at 6am (yes 6am but I am up long before this) on BBC 2 . I'm a bit late in finding it as it appears to be a repeat but if you haven't seen it and are up this early it's well worth watching..
It's a tired format which I normally despise in which several contestants show their work and then several judges who are full of their own self importance decide a winner who is announced after an nail-on-blackboard wait.
However in this show several amateur contestants show a piece of their work (glassware, sculptures, carving, feltwork, pottery etc etc ) which is then discussed with one of the judges. At the end of the show the judges only briefly discuss the entries and decide a winner which is then announced to the gathering of the contestants.
There are none of the usual histrionics or self aggrandisement which you usually get in this kind of show and much to amazement my own favourite, in each of the shows I have seen so far, has been the winner.

Yes Adele always up early - this morning came downstairs at 5am - this mornings routine: fresh coffee and catch up with POL (originally posted this at 5am but reposting it to add a few missing words), then catch up with the news followed by exercise routines until 6pm about to watch Paul Martin whilst having breakfast (muesli and fresh fruit) . Prepare vegetables for lunch and then shower and dress ready for the day. Mind you I'll probably have a nap after lunch and a glass of wine (or 2)
