I am finding difficulties when I come to the stage where a piece of work is ready to mount, because I have not considered the finished size in advance, before beginning to paint. How do you plan for this? Is it by imposing a 'border' on the work before you start, and painting slightly beyond it ? Or what? Advice, please, to enable me to work to standard mount sizes...(can't afford framers and mounters, and can't cut my own)
