Hello, I'm wondering if anyone kind can help me please? I am a beginner with all of this, so a complete dummie! I want to paint 3 canvas box frames to go on my wall. They will be very modern & simple. Just plain grey - nothing else on them. Do I just buy the primed blank canvas, buy some grey acrylic and paint the whole thing grey? Is it as simple as that - nothing else I need to do? If i find the shade of grey that I buy not right, how do i then make it lighter or darker grey? Any help, (tips to make it look more interesting) or advice gratefully received. Thank you very much!!
Buy the primed for acrylic canvas... Grey too dark? Add more white. Grey too light add more black. Remember to was your brushes out afterwards...warm water & soap.
Ha ha " three shades of grey " . Coming down in the world.
If you want to make them more interesting, you could have 3 different shades of grey or you could draw lines on them black, silver or gold with a Sharpie. NB to get a really smooth surface you can use a sponge on a stick to use instead of a brush. You can get these from places like The Works or Dunelm or Hobbycraft. Best of luck.
