I am returning to art after a few years and am thinking about using knifes to paint in either oils or acrylics in hope that it will help me to loosen up my painting . I love the impressionist style but can't seem to loosen up using brushes because I end up tightening things again. I remember a long time ago watching an Italian lady painting by knife on the telly (actually she used an easel to save damage to her telly) but I can't remember her name.It would be great if there were DVDs of her somewhere.
