Oil painting from world war 2

Hi We have a painting from world war 2 . the only thing about it that i now is that it was taken from a gearman nazi under the war . its been in my famelie ever sins. but i dont now mutch about it . ​​​​​​​Anyone that can help ?
Can you read the signature better than I can? It looks as if it starts as "R Stein.... " but I can't make out the last characters; could be Steiner, but I don't think it is. It looks more like Steinmas, but that's not a name in German that I'm familiar with, and it certainly doesn't identify any known painter that I can find. At a guess, and that's really the best I can offer, it's a 19th century painting - quite pleasant so far as I can see, but not of much value. However, most old paintings have SOME value, to someone. If you can read the signature, come back and tell us - that would make it a little easier, but an awful lot of people were painting in oils in Germany in the late 19th/early 20th century.
