All this stirred my interest, so, just now, before closing down my PC, I decided to scroll down through my stuff obtained by the gallery search.  Up to page 23, everything OK.  I could detect no reasoning in the way my pics are shown...it's not by date...not by title.  On page 23 were pics by Alesha Cooper, Darren Lewis and Thomas Paul Lewis.  So I've done a lot of good stuff I didn't even know about. Then I noticed there's a banner just above the pics...it says...we have artists matching your search,PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR AN ARTIST.  So I clicked for an artist....up came a list of artists...I was at the top (the closest match), then a variety of names with either LEWIS or COOPER somewhere in their name.  When I clicked on my name from this list, it took me to the gallery with all my folders in it.
Yes, I know, but why should the system mix them up in the first place?
Good point Marjorie. I've just checked mine now and I only make it to page 4 before turning into someone else! The previous way that artist search worked was so much more user friendly. Coupled with the fact that email notifications for the artists you follow no longer work. I have about 9 or 10 favourites whose work I really don't want to miss, now have to go into the artist profile then into one or more of their several galleries to get the latest. While I am very happy to see people's previous lovely paintings it does involve a lot more clicking about and just a bit of a time factor. I have flagged the notifications problem twice and been told both times that the tech people are looking at it, but it does seem to be taking a long time. Especially as notifications work so well in the Forum - same programming?
I got as far back as page 35 before other peoples art appeared and to go back any further (209 pages in total) I think I'd lose the will to live. What a bonkers system and to make it worse you can only go one page at a time and why are the pictures not in order?  As My Grandad would have said: Dafts I calls it!

Not sure Sandra - if it is the same programmers. We can only assume that there is a lot of work involved. However, not being able to access work chronologically on the gallery ( if you've missed a post ) makes it near impossible to find the time to scroll through and find the latest.
Michael, I'm with your Grandad! What I would really be interested to know is whether this random order is due to programming chronological order being  problematic, or was it a deliberate decision and if so why. Does someone with a close involvement in the site know why? Thanks in advance.
Drafts I call it.
Spot on Sandra :   It's a problematic chronological programming disorder. Dafts I calls it!
