Hi,
After a 25 year break from it, I have over the last month or so been "thinking about" getting back into drawing and painting, as I do from time to time (think about it that is). On Monday, being the first day of a week off work, I went to Brighton for the day and absolutely loved it there sitting on the pier and became really inspired to draw everything I could see. I didn't have my drawing equipment with me then but yesterday I packed up all my drawing stuff and went to Hastings (a bit closer to me than Brighton)....and didn't draw a thing! The weather was not great - very windy and outbreaks of rain but I don't think that was the real reason for not drawing; truth is I've lost my confidence. But what I did do in Hastings is buy the artist and leisure painter magazines and logged on to this website when I got home. Your enthusiasm is so encouraging and inspiring that today I started to draw again - I'm not as good as I used to be but I've made a start and with practice and this fabulous website at my fingertips, I'll be good again. You people are great - you're all out there painting away and I want to join in the fun!
