many years ago I did a drawing using the rule of thirds, of a Scottish castle on a loch.
i liked it a lot but it was waiting for a frame.
I showed it to an elderly friend of my mother and she loved it so much i gave it to her and she said she would have it framed.
years later she died and my mother asked me to assist in clearing the house. I came across my painting complete with frame, only my picture had been chopped to suit a very small cheap frame and only the catle remained minus the loch and scenery.
To say I was hurt and disappointed in her taste was the least of my feelings, so i binned it. My brother laughed his socks off when i told him and we both ended laughing as I imagined the scissors going and the composition being wrecked. Happy days. Syd :-)
