The documentary "My kid could paint that" (Wiki, here; official site, here) is about child prodigy Marla Olmstead, who paints marvelous abstract art. I strongly recommend this film. There is an interview with her parents here. This phenomenon has aroused controversy, because the documentary filmmaker casts suspicion on the parents and insinuates that they have co-opted her, to a degree. But in that case, either parent is a genius, instead! Mats

I saw a documentary about the child and her paintings some years ago, perhaps it was the programme you've included in the posting. I wasn't convinced that the paintings were all her own work.
