I started the day adding a touch of paint to a self portrait I sketched out yesterday, somehow that was put to one side as I began to underpaint this miniature I am doing on copper sheet... I also browsed and found several images I want to paint and played with photoshop putting somebodies head on somebody elses body to see how it would look... and found some images of boxing gloves which I put on myself (digitally) before putting some ropes and a crowd behind it (for a further scene to paint)
Bottom line is I seem to be all over the place. Does anyone just sit and paint a picture from start to finish and then put their kit away or is everyone like me... a little here and a little there, completely non-linear way of working with possibly more than one thing on the go at once?

When it comes to painting a pic, if its in my head then I just go for it until its finished , it may take some time...hours/ days, one eventook quite a few weeks on and off ,so no I dont fiddle with anything else. I m not particularly tidy but keep my stuff controlled .
but I dont start anything else
Dosent mean to say i dont go for a walk with the dog if its not raining, pick up the phone, read a book , chat to you lot . But I don't start another epic painting.

I prefer to work on one picture and see it through to a finish. When I have two on the go, one of them seems to suffer and I go off the boil. But...a sketchbook is another matter. When I'm waiting for something to dry, I'll often dive into a sketch book. I paint mostly in watercolour, and sometimes 'draw' with a brush and watercolour because, on these occasions, my watercolours are all in place.
