Hello
(Any advice or I'd love to hear your stories).
This wasn't an over night decision, something I've thought about for years. After working part-time in a school for 27 years (a job I've loved) I've finally handed in my notice to pursue my art.
I'm building a studio in my garden, I've got a couple of commissions to get me started, then I'm on my way.
I'm excited and a little nervous. My plan is to go back to oils after using acrylic for so long, this will take some practice. Then I hope to be selling late spring, early summer. It's been about 15 years since I've exhibited. In the meantime I've sold a rare few paintings online. I've not had the time to invest, until now. My last day of work is 17th January. (I have another part-time job on the side, I would still like to eat).
So any advice or really I'd love to hear from anyone who has taken a similar step. How did you get along?
Many thanks
Alicia
