Not sure if this will do anything or happen anywhere. Have had a quicketty quick look around and as I said in my title it's like a new house with everything still packed. I am sure it will happen for me eventually, but you know the saying old dog new tricks( no giggles please) well I will persevere , butt supper needs cooking , so another time . But well done P O L for all of your hard work....at least I am not a noney mouse anymore.

Help - I'm all adrift on this new site. It is sooo different, especially the gallery. I am sure it is going to take days to sort it all out and find out how it all works. I also keep getting very annoying video ads popping up that say they will finished in so many seconds - what's that all about?
If anyone works how how to do all the usual things then please pass on the information!

I haven't been able to find any guidelines for posting on the gallery (as we all hoped for) and I also am wondering where new paintings end up. The ones on the front page are not new as some seem to be years old and from artists who have quit the site some time ago. If our new paintings just go straight into our folders or portfolios, how will anyone see them to comment? Don't understand. Also, my portfolios seem to have disappeared and all I have now is a list of images of my paintings, in no particular order and not in date of posting order. I used to be able to go to an individual portfolio, say Pen & Wash, and see all the works I posted under that heading. I now appear to have 25 pages of my work but I will have to trawl through the whole lot to find a particular painting. A lot of the information doesn't seem to have come across from the old site - perhaps it will in time. Up until then, I am a new member of the forum, lol! I don't wish to be ungrateful, but I am struggling to see the benefits of the new site as it doesn't seem to offer the same facilities as the old one and I think it is going to be harder to form the close community that we all had on the old site as well, which is a great shame and a loss. Still, I will give it time and perhaps these problems will get ironed out.

It was bound to happen. It looks nice and new and modern but it will take some getting used to. All the menu items used to be easily accessible. Now when you are on the gallery and you want to go to the forum you have to go back to the starter page first. Certain links do not work (yet?). Software is a wonderful thing but as we see with microsoft every time there is a new version everyone has to learn to cope with it all over again. I suppose it will keep our brains active.😉

Eee! We don't like change. I have diffilculty with any, but it looks bright and airy and modern, suits me. Who is this new Thea? surely we have enough to deal with in the old one LOL!
Have given a chunk of today to try and get to grips with it. Good luck and don't let it put you off 'cos I like you all.

Not had a look round in detail yet but first complaint is that the text doesn't wrap if you don't have the window at full width. Some of us work with several windows open, following a major revamp this is a serious omission. There also does not seem to have a facility to jump to the latest unread post, or mark a forum as read. These are basic forum functions. Sorry I'm not impressed.

First time I've posted on the Forum (I think) although I've uploaded my work to the Gallery. The new-look site encouraged me to reset my long-forgotten password and give it a go. Liking the look of things so far, the site looks more interesting and has a more user-friendly layout in my opinion. Hope to contribute more now I've broken the seal :)
