Slightly tongue in cheek title for this thread - but I wrote a bit on my blog about not having time to paint at the moment because of all the Christmas preparation I'm involved in. I had a few interesting comments on my blog in which people added a little about what they did at Christmas. It set me wondering what you all do for Christmas. Is there a set ritual observed every year or do you do something outrageously different?
For my self, it is a set ritual - 5p.m family gathers at younger daughters house for special tea, play performed by the children and then evening Quiz hotly contested for a valuable prize (bought for no more that £5.00!!). Christmas Day - family gathers at our house for presents, lunch, etc. Boxing Day is elder daughter's turn to do lunch and games in the afternoon. We are lucky that both daughters and three little grandsons live about 600yds away from us in either direction, so all this house hopping is easy. All very predictable, but lovely.
I thought it would be nice to have a Christmassy thread - so is it a Dicken's style Christmas for you or do you go hang gliding off a cliff somewhere??
