They do make interesting historical documents, even though their main purpose was as ads to sell stuff

Advertising was wonderful including the cigarette ads. Such an innocent time. I remember the travel adverts usually on trains " Beautiful Bridlington and Sunny South End" etc. Somewhere I have a book full of these , must go and dig it out . Amazing art. I don't quite see today's efforts still surviving seventy years on.
