I have a 'Julien' this is French, and is 42 x 32 cm approx. I was bought this about ten years go and have never used it, It's a lovely object. I do take it out from under the desk and look at it on times. I tell myself 'you must use this' it is a shame not to. I must admit, I just love my canvas bag.
I have a U.S. Art Supply easel. With plenty of storage space, I can store all of my creative supplies in one location wherever I travel. I can set up the plein air easel without having to transfer my stuff from another container once I get on location. The partitions are detachable, allowing me to properly arrange my brushes and colors..

Ceri I think I have exactly the same thing… and do the same thing with it. It’s quite posh and was expensive .  It sits  on a shelf and laughs at me.   Personally I find it too heavy.  Like you I have a bag full of stuff a foldy  seat ,and my knee , I travel light these days and have a minimum of gear it works for me. .

Ditto me - a French easel which needs wheels to transport it! At the time I thought it was the bees knees. I still find myself being drawn in by “ better” en plein air equipment. So far…..I’ve resisted. I have used it at home….😆
I wonder if their sales went through the roof that year…lol
