Did anyone else catch this programme last night on BBC1? It was about a scheme called Own Art and its object was to loan money, up to £2,500, interest free, to enable them to buy a piece of Art, painting or sculpture or whatever.
I thought it was a great idea. You pay back the money in monthly instalments for 10 months.
A few people had bought paintings by up and coming artists for a few hundred pounds and they are now worth a few thousand!
It has been going for 5 years I think they said.
