Hi all.....

Hi everyone Well, I'm ever so chuffed I am...for discovering this forum and the POL site! So, if I may, I'd just like to say "hi" and introduce myself! A short while ago I bought myself a couple of books and some watercolours and had a crack at my first ever painting - and I just loved it. Apart from when I was a youngster (that would be quite a long time ago!) I haven't attempted any hand-art...although my job involves computer design and I do love graphic design/3D art on the PC. But "real" artwork...nope, not until now. Anyway, I joined a watercolour class at my local college, and this week was my fifth, and I'm absolutely loving it. Not just the art I'm doing for class, but I've really got into doing it in my own time. I've now completed a grand total of six watercolours! I've got myself a little sketchbook and a book (How to Draw Everything), which helps tremendously. Obviously, I'm a long, long way from discovering my own style, or anything like that, and maybe I never will, but quite frankly, who cares?! I find it so relaxing and satisfying......I did a painting last night I'm so pleased with! Anyway, I think you've heard enough waffle from me, but here's to a new friendship, and I hope some of you guys & gals stop by to say hello.....
