Hi all, I have acquired some fabric (stain/polyester) reproduction prints (they are all the same print) and have not been able to identify the painting or the painter. I think it is a detail from a larger painting and possibly from the Baroque, Renaissance era. I have researched some religious paintings including St. John, St. Matthew and the apostles without luck.
If anyone has an idea on the origin of the print i would be really appreciative. The label information is on the right hand bottome corner and it reads: 'GAMMA 2355 - EDIZIONI D'ARTE ALMA - MILANO. Printed in Italy'.
I have been able to identify the that the print is from an edition of an Italian Art journal dating from 1968 (?) ,
Any help, direction , advice is welcome - thank you!
