I received a visitor in my studio. A lady. Her comments :
- I see that you put a rather lot of churches in your landscapes. I know, you are very religious or you are soul searching.
NO! (?) - Towers and churches are always a perfect subject among a landscape. It helps balancing a painting and draw the eyes. Otherwise it is always around these old buildings that I find quaint areas.
- (she ignores me) - I see that on this one you have produce heavy dark clouds, you must have been in an emotional state.
- NO - It was just a fantastic storm coming.
She was not mystic Meg. Not a client either !
If I had painted a red dot in the middle of a black canvas she probably would have found an explanation for me.
Why do people have to try to play philosophy with all artists.
I am no philosoph. I am just in love with the sun, the atmosphere.
