I hope everyone is still coping. I’ve not posted for quite a while, either on the gallery or here, my inspiration is in the doldrums at the moment, despite selling two paintings before Christmas, which should have given me a boost.
However, one of them was for a friend I used to work with. She wanted it for a Christmas present for her husband, who, she told me had terminal cancer. Sadly, he gave up his fight on December 21st, but she told me my painting gave them hope, like the title I’d named it. It really rocked me off my feet, but I feel so privileged that she found comfort in something I’d painted.

Happy New Year to you too Ellen. Like you, am having a long dry spell not helped by tackling an extremely hard portrait so whether I'll ever get to grips with it I don't know. But how lovely for you and the recipient of your gift to get such comfort and solace from one of your lovely paintings. Take care and also all POL artists.
