Since I've been unable to control the watercolours, I have a fair bit of watercolour paper hanging around. I don't like waste so I have just slapped some acrylic gesso mixed with extra whiting on a sheet. I'll try it out and I hope that It will work with oil. I'm going to slap it on some old W&N Cotman A4 pads first that I acquired, before I have a go with the couple of sheets of Saunders Waterford. I guess that it may need a couple or three coats. has anyone had experience of using oils on watercolour paper this way? Some sheets I'll save for pastel, although I've tried pastel on watercolour paper before, and didn't like it, some I'll keep for working with the watercolour pencils that me missus bought me.bestMick
