It's probably just me but I'm getting a bit fed up recently with the predictability of the postings in the gallery (my work included I hasten to add) ; the same old subject matter painted in the same old styles; the products of the local art class replicated across the country. With the limited exceptions of the works of a very small band of artists, most of whom are fairly irregular posters, nothing much lately really grabs my attention.
But then I do have a low boredom threshold - I even find Wolf Hall, about which all the pundits rave, so slow that I'm on the verge of giving up following it. Anyway, as for the predictability of the gallery content I the guess it was ever thus. Am I alone or am I just going through a depressive phase out of which I'll soon emerge refreshed and full of enthusiasm for matters 'art'.
