Hi their, I know many of you take your own photos to use as a basis for your work (and i do too), but there are times when i can't capture the image i have in mind myself. I have found a couple of free image libraries that after reading their terms appear to be copyright/royalty-free even for commercial use. Hi Lucy - I use Pixaby quite a lot. My own photos leave a lot to be desired and their ones are really high quality. You can give a donation - as little or as much as you like and then don't have to worry about copyright. I don't know morguelife but will take a look. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the links. I quite like pixabay although you would have to register with them to avoid having to enter a capcha code each time you want to download a picture. The morguefile only seems to work after registration and I hate having to disclose my data all over the place. You can´t even click on their ABOUT page.

I noticed that on morguefile Pat but it's very easy to register on Pixaby and very worthwhile.

I didn't know you had to register on Pixabay, I normally just copy the photo - I'm off to take another look to see if I'm in trouble!!

Actually Syd I can understand your reasoning but I am sorry to say that most of the information about us is already out there whether we like it or not. In case you are not aware of it, "Big Brother" and his minions already know more about us than we do!

I had another look on Pixabay and no you don't need to register. There are some wonderful images on there which are such a high resolution they are really good if, like me, you want ideas from photos.
