I wanted to produce some framed paintings without the cost of a Picture framer or DIY.
Head scratching how to get boards to marry ready made frames.
Eureka moment, loads of old photos framed in the attic. Failing that buy some blank frames.
Used the backboard for painting, which is usually hardboard or MDF & reassemble. Solved.
Remember to set in your signature so as visible away from the rebate! Also keep paint thin near edges so the work will sit fairly flat in the rebate.
Sorry if telling you the blooming obvious but novices like me may not have readily thought of this.
