Where are all the ladies who comment very well on the gallery but not here I could give names of these ladies who used to grace the forum in the past but they know who they are. I could say the same about the shortage of chaps. In general I have found some people like to talk a lot, while others just like to get on with their art. Haven't seen your work in the gallery for a while, Syd.

I'm sure all will go well to put you right, Syd. I don't have as much time this part of the year to view peoples work in the gallery, catch you next time, lovely boy 😉

Hi Syd...Some of us old timers is gettin' a bit long in't tooth, ain't we...and that includes me. I tend to fall asleep at mi computer whilst trying to navigate this site, which frankly I find quite confusing I do love it still though so will no doubt keep bobbing up from time to time. My main query at present is... Whatever does WIPS stand for?? It is probably so simple but it simply has eluded me. Translation, please! I would like to ask whether anyone has any suggestions for treating a much loved ancient Pro Art filbert brush, which has developed Rigor Mortis ? Is there any solution to revive it? Have to go now, my beef stew calls...tenderised of course, for old teeth!! Full of vegetables for health and vigour also...naturally...I am going Bunjee Jumping tomorrow!
If shampoo and hair conditioner doesn't revive the brush, there was a product on the Chromacolour UK website for cleaning brushes which, if it's still available obviously, you might try. Or Google 'brush conditioner' and you might find another source. Failing that, it's time to retire the brush and buy a new one - you could maybe use it for scrubbing-in and other rough work, or if it was a particular favourite, give it a respectful burial. And if you could find a quiet corner of the site on which to post your stew recipe, that would be much appreciated...... I do have one of my own, but am always open to having my taste-buds tickled.
No garlic?
Thanks for the reply, Syd.
Ruth - how on earth did I miss that.......? Could I be getting old? I will copy and paste your recipe in my foods-to-tempt-the-toothypegs-with file, most speedily. Ta. That's this weekend's dinner sorted..
Anth please don't be uncomforatble aboutpositing in here, it's a friendly site, however more than 2/3 a day is felt sufficient I believe.
I'm with you Jenny and I also love the banter especially from Syd - where is he by the way?
Oh...so nice to see you here. Have just sent you a confused message XXX
