PS, Hancock was a great success while his material was written for him by Ray Galton and Alan Simpson. But it went to his head. He suffered from the delusion that he was a comic genius. He got rid of his popular supporting characters from the radio version of Hancock's Half Hour---Bill Kerr and Kenneth Williams. Sid James made it to the telly version, but then Hancock axed him as well. The Blood Donor was from his final series for the BBC, by which time the show was built entirely around him. Galton and Simpson wrote the screenplay for The Rebel (1961). The irony never struck Hancock that his character in the film makes it big on the back of someone else's talent.
Sandra, it is a quote from a line Hancock said in the Blood Donor. A comedy series he did on the BBC.
