Hey everyone, I hope its okay to post this here? I have a shameless self promotion announcement to make :) My local art gallery, Golspie Gallery in Sutherland, Scotland, are holding an exhibition of fantasy and surreal art called Fact or Fiction. And some of my art is in it! If you happen to be in the area, I hope you'll stop by for a look. But probably not so here are a couple of photos with my art in. Its my first proper art exhibiton so I'm quietly proud to be part of it. I just hope you all don't mind me shouting about it after only joining the forum a few weeks ago. Feel free to delete this thread if its inappropriate :)
msPict...Its not a crime to be proud of your art so good luck to you and I hope. you have some sales.....Syd
Thanks Syd, keeping my fingers crossed :)
Nothing wrong with this post at all - there's even a section on the site for news of exhibitions - better to put it there because this subject heading will likely get updated and your news will be obscured. If I can, I'll copy and paste another post under Exhibitions.
Congratulations on your first exhibition, I can still remember the nerves at my first. I'm sure it will be a success and if I was in the Sutherland area, unlikely I'm afraid, I would certainly have a look. Hope this is the first of many.
Congratulations Candra, your paintings look amazing and I hope you sell lots of them!
Thanks everyone! And thanks Robert, for the heads up re the other section. I'll go look there shortly. Even though I've taken part in small shows and exhibitions before, this is the first time its been about fantasy art specifically, and the first time a professional gallery has taken a chance with it, so it definitely feels personal and a bit jittery lol. Fantasy art is my first love so if I can even introduce some people to it in the Highlands, where there isnt really a market yet, I'll be a happy bunny. Thanks for all the crossed fingers and toes. Here's hoping something comes of it.
