Are you puzzled ? Well that little message appears on the screen if ,on the forum , I tap someones pseudonym which,in the past ,
led to the artists profile and hopefully their name . but not now. I would like to see the gallery efforts of the forum artists but obviously i cant search for an artist on the galllery by typing in say lunartic16. ....I need the name and if that remains a secret I wont be commenting no matter how good or bad I consider the work. If it is really good I will praise it . if it needs help I will try to give it but could eveyone put their name somewhere , preferably at the bottom of their post . These pseudonyms preserve the anonymity of the artist but does anyone want to be anonymus I dont think so. I know I can get the artists profile on the gallery but thats Carch 22 .Syd

If I hover over your avatar, I get a brief dialogue showing me ways of contacting you, your posting history and links to your posts. If I click on Syd Edward, I get a list of the topics on which you've posted. What I don't get is a link to your Gallery, but then so far as I remember that facility has never been available on the old site or the new one.
What you're getting may be a feature of your Ipad, of which I know, sadly, Nuzzingks.... Error loading page sometimes appears on computers, mostly older ones with bits of software missing: how or if this applies to Ipads I have no idea, I fear.
On the whole though, while I think this may be a Syd problem more than a POL one, I do not like nicknames and wish the site had never introduced the facility to use them, because while you often find out whom you're talking to, and can then search out their gallery, this isn't easy for new people (it's not that easy for those who have been around a long time). I don't really understand why anyone would wish to keep their identities secret - I don't think most of those who chose usernames/nicknames actually intended to be secretive, they just saw the option and went along with it. It is slightly irritating, but probably we're stuck with it. But anyway, maybe someone with an Ipad can give Syd an answer to his problem.
