What do you feel when you finish a painting, relief, satisfaction, joy, ? What do you feel when you sell a painting( or give away) count the notes , another one gone, hope its gone to a good home? <div>As artists we are funny creatures. </div><div>Having helped to organise numerous exhibitions I have met aggression, greed , helpfulness and kindness. Nothing in small measures. I know I often think of my paintings as off spring and want the best for them. </div><div>Some are hard to let go some not so difficult. But then I paint for me and as a pure amateur I am not reliant on selling for a living( I would be VERY thin) . I use any money to buy more paints etc and subsidise my work. </div><div>So is it different if you sell to pay the mortgage or not ? Lots of questions. ! </div>
