I wanted to replace an image on the gallery but leave the text and comments. You can no longer do this, you can only edit the text. This is something which always worked before but is no longer possible. Can someone else try this and confirm this?
Yes I've tried this Marjory and found you can no longer do this!!
Yes I found this out yesterday,
Thanks Linda and Alan. Another one for Dawn...
I tried to replace a photo of one I had posted on the gallery last week Marjorie and it wouldn’t work. You can still edit the text but not the picture.
This was flagged to Dawn a couple of weeks ago and she has it on her list of things to get done.  It’s really useful to be able to replace an image, so hopefully it’ll get fixed soon!
I believe this is still outstanding and on Dawn’s list of things to get done, hope it will be soon as quite a few of us have said they’d like this function reinstated.

Stan it’s the Gallery not the sale page.  This whole site was revamped a few months ago and some of the stuff that was here has either vanished or been altered .  The Sale page is a very new innovation.

Yes, it’s possible someone could do that, but highly unlikely - from my experience POL people are an honest lot and would be horrified at that sort of deception.  It’s more a case of posting an image and then finding you can subsequently get a better image of it or perhaps correcting a small error which you’ve noticed.
My reason exactly Jenny, my first image was blurred, my second was sideways on, and each time I had to delete everything including comments that people had made instead of just editing the image, frustrating to say the least !!
Probably an obvious point, but if the image doesn't look all that great on your computer, it's no good expecting it to look better on the site.  I think the issue with pictures on their sides, or worse, upside down, is confined to I-phone/I-pad users - I've not come across it with my desktop pc.  If you do have a better image you want to post - I'd just put it on again; you won't keep the comments, but you might get more (and better) ones. Agree though - it would probably be useful if the status quo ante could be restored.
