Hi all. I want to find out from others which method they prefer for preparing a canvas ( using a photograph ) I personally grid up the photo and my canvas, and very lightly sketch the outlines in order to translate the image. However, I read somewhere that even lightly sketched lines can sometimes be seen in the finished product. Is it better to trace the image onto canvas instead? or should I use a light blue coloured pencil for example if sketching on the canvas, instead of a soft graphite one.
