I apologise in advance but this is too important not to post even though it isn't painting related I know it relates to many people on this forum as many are disabled.
The government are planning in a green paper to take DLA and AA away from disabled people and give it to Social Services to decide how you may use it and to provide services and whether you are entitled to it. This means you will not be able to use it for a disability scooter; taxis, private carers or anything else. Also the aids you get now free from OT will be provided by soc services out of that money. You have only 100 days to make your voice heard. I do not suggest starting a discussion on here and am posting only to make you aware. I know that without my Disability allowance I woudln't have my scooter so would never leave the house and would never paint again. :-(
