I found it really tacky. While it was great to see the art, the fictionalising and trivialising of this painters` tragic life, his struggle with public ridicule, mental illness and poverty disturbed me.
As does the knowledge that now thousands of children will now believe that he either is a character in a story, or could see invisible monsters. 8-)
