We have written quite often on the forum about Copyright...I have had lovely comments about my work and a kind member wrote that the copyright notice on my picture distracted the viewer from my lovely painting, could I do a smaller one or at a different angle.Alas we have to mark our work and make the Copyright difficult to be removed.I have had one picture stolen and reproduced as an original watercolour by another artist and for sale in a local gallery. (I had sold cards of this picture)Also I have had friends who told me that they had downloaded pictures of my work from the internet and were doing cards from their friends with them. They thought that it was a compliment but it was a wonderful warning of what others could do !So saddly I will carry on putting watermarks !
