A good friend of mine suffers from a very rare condition - total colour blindness. I gather that it is more common among men than women. You might think that this prevents him from appreciating paintings, but in fact the condition allows you to differentiate between tonal values, albeit only in the form of shades of grey. A painting must therefore have good contrast for him to appreciate it.
Does anyone on the forum suffer from any degree of colour blindness - and, if so, how does it affect your painting?
