I was looking over some old forums and I noticed that Aqua inquired as to instruction and information on Chinese Brush Work...at the moment I am struggling to learn this style from the one little book I could find...there is not in Perth West Australis a tutor to be had...it would be lovely if someone anyone knew anything about this work and could give a tutorial...In trying to adhere to the principles of this style I have found myself ending up water colour painting instead of sticking to the principle of the well placed brush stroke...books are very nice but step by step instruction over a couple of weeks would be lovely in POL
I use the Windsor & Newton Tyne easel (4 lbs, I think). It can take large boards and canvases. It's quite stable outdoors in moderate winds. I've not used it in very exposed places, but I think easels probably aren't suitable for really poor meterological conditions.
PS It folds down into a small sausage bag, the longest pole being the canvas/board support which is maybe a couple of feet (60ish cm)!
Thank you for your advice, I'll look it up on the W & N website.
