I know this sounds wimpy as often a good trawl through the net usually provides answers. I have done just this but would like some first hand advice/ experience.
I have time on my hands as I sit here and contemplate my navel. Will probably have at least two more months of inactivity. Anyhow a good reason to paint my own Christmas cards. I often do this but when I am up and active I can cut and fold my own in whatever paper or style I want to do.
So question , what I am looking for are card blanks , provided with envelopes, square format, approx 4"x4 " in a really heavy weight water colour paper either not or rough . Edges either cut or deckle don't mind.
I keep looking and have seen some hopefuls but a recommendation would be good .
Price is a consideration but if I get the right animal I would be happy ( though not silly money) to pay whatever .
So can anyone help please ? .

I cheat a bit these days - (in more ways than one). I do my design on a standard piece of watercolour paper, or sometimes a canvas board, photograph it, then use MS Publisher to to create a card blank on which I substitute my own designs for those offered.
I know this isn't what you're after doing, but it does save an awful lot of faffing about.
Of many sites that offer ready-cut cards, Jacksons has a selection which looked fine to me last time I wanted any; but someone is bound to have more up to date information than that.
Sorry to hear you're still immobile - this is called getting older, you know; fun, isn't it? Or alternatively, one blasted thing after another.

I've bought cards with envelopes from SAA last year and they were great. I've just had a look and found these which may be useful:- Frisk C6 25 cards for £5.50, they are NOT 300gsm, envelopes included. They have other types as well but I thought these were nearer the size you are looking for. Here's the link. Happy hunting.

I have bought the blanks and envelopes ,but I print them ,so a card that is not to thick but strong enough is what you need to get through the printer ,but you can make a home made scene ,made into stencil .s .in parts,, the snow, the cottages ,and trees as separate stencils ,, and then pad round the edges to make a spray effect,
now we are into the craft side .like my boss ..her inside .....OH NO/// TAKE ME AWAY

Sylvia...Hi....Look on the Amazon. site. I bought 50 5x5" blank cards and envelopes there, to create my own cards. They are sturdy and pre-creased. I ordered white but wanting blue for a card which would show white for snow, I am using some old card (Blue) which I have had for ages, and am going to stick my ( 4x4") paintings onto the card blanks. If I had the confidence I could have painted straight onto the card blank, it is heavy enough, but I seem to have taken the hard route. Anyway, the 50 blanks and envelopes cost around £5.00, worth having a look.....I've only just seen this topic, so sorry for not seeing it sooner and responding. R
