I found myself at my weekly art class. I unpacked my bag and found to my dismay that I had forgotten my roll of kitchen paper. Once before, when painting plein air, I also forgot my kitchen paper and found it well nigh impossible to work. It surprised me how difficult it was to do without this equipment.
It made me think - obviously I can't do without something to dry my brush a bit, blot out stray bits of paint (or clouds), mop up drips - so having some tissue or rag is essential equipment in my personal repertoire.
Is there anything, other than a piece of paper, a brush, some paint and water, that you can't do without in a painting session.
Perhaps we might have some strange anwers to this enquiry??
