Hi, found this https://balletthebestphotographs.wordpress.com/ ideal for anyone interested in Figure painting heaps of pictures - don't forget to look in the Archive sections
Any licence restrictions?
think in future will not share my finds for this forum as provoke negative feedback I offered the link as a help to those who need inspiration / ideas for art take an image and expand it to your potential - be brave, be creative, be positive, seize the opportunity
You'll notice from other threads, Tony, that those entering art for competitions or exhibitions are asked to confirm that either they took their reference photos themselves or have the rights to use them. If the photos you've sourced are only licensed for personal non-commercial use then they're useless outside the practice room. Now, something that I cannot use to make money is quite possibly very good stuff, but its being on the internet does not mean I'm free to do that. So, the question remains - any licence restrictions? If you don't know then say so and nobody will think badly of you; but it saves us all having to dig around finding out if you've already done that research
Alan if you look at the site photos, you will find the answer on or below the images if you want to use an image for commercial use, email the photographer for approval Sylvia take your point on own experiences & photos to paint - no arguament I would have to travel a distance & have the opportunity to get the figures/ portraits I like to do
48 views so far, nice if someone said ' that's a good link'
Well I'll say it. Some great poses from which I could do a few of my line drawings - might do one this weekend and post it if time allows.
Bravo Michael
I don't enter here to seek kudos for a link for instance. If it it grabs me I may comment - may not. I often try thank the contributors. Equally if no one comments on anything I post be it a sketch finished work or just words, it doesn't bother me. This is a truly smashing forum. I might look at the link as it's figures
There are some very good photos there, Tony, and thanks for sharing.
Managed to do a couple of quickies inspired by the photos on the site - just a bit of fun. http://www.painters-online.co.uk/gallery/art-view,picture_169971.htm
I've got this week off between performances of Bugsy Malone and Back To The 80s, so I've just done a quick couple of experimental sketches too - trying them out on Twitter first :-)
