I know there already has been a thread about the lack of art programmes on television but just wanted to find out if there are ANY reasonably decent art based programmes on that I may have missed. The ones I watch regularly are:
Cranshaw Watercolours ( Sky Discover Channel 240) - Love this artist and he has a fantastic technique with watercolour.
Joy of Painting (Sky Discovery Channel 240) - Bob Ross has a great enthusiasm for his work although I don't always like the 'picture box' type paintings he creates.
Painting & Drawing Channel (Sky Info Channel 166) - Nice little 30 minute workshops by different artists working in all mediums every Mon, Wed & Fri at 4pm.
Mastering The Art (Sky Arts Channel 256) - I've recently just found this programme, often on late at night . An artist who has done time in prison (!!) for forgery helps three amateurs paint in the style of a selected Great Master. Last night it was painting a nude in the style of Renoir.
These are the main programmes I tape and watch. Are there any others anyone knows about?
Thanks.
William
