hi louise, just checked out your web site, looks fine to me, all working well. appearance good. Great photo of you. just one thing is it important to you to have © Ghosting? as i have seen your work without it and its better that way.
It looks OK now just expand it... The email contact page needs a tweak? Do or Do Not use the contact panel? Links direct visitors away from your site...your job is to get them into not out of your site... Now add the shop page with PayPal... Now check out every last legal policy document that you might just need....your art is also your business ...e.g. This disclaimer is courtesy of Template Contracts and Website Law.
Watcha Louise, I had a look at your sitte and tried to leave a comment, I don'T know if it actually worked but I do know that when I filled in the captcha it was on another pic. I tried to send an email but got caught in a captcha loop, I think you've been sold a pup. best Mick
Hi Louise, this may be a bit late. I've had a look at your own site and it is pretty good as it is. The only thing I think that would improve it is to use a clearer web friendly text font like Times New Roman or Verdana, the one you use is not easy to read. I always use Serif Webplus to produce my websites, they do a free version for you to use and you can put a site together very easily. You'll find it at: http://www.serif.com/web-design-software/?MC=SERPPCFDWP hope this helps John Kay
Looks good to me but the header image is a bit blurred. Use some image scaling software/app - scale down your images and save at 72dpi at the pixel width & height you require so images look sharp + still load fast. Your slideshow under portraits & commissions seem to be only showing thumbnail size.
I've got to manage my own website now, as the friend who created it and managed it for me now has too much on his plate to keep up with it. Serif is the package that created it, so I hope previous assurances that it's easy (JayKay said that, I think) are true: I haven't had the courage to even look at it yet... this is what comes of getting older and phobic about new technology. I'm saying this to give Louse M the relative comfort of knowing that she's not the only one who feels like shouting HELP!
I'm on First name terms with The Mr Site Help Team...
This question may have been up for discussion before, however I should like to put it to you anyway. How do you conduct your marketing? Before I started selling I drew up a marketing plan and I am trying hard to stick to it. The internet of course is only one part of it. It does not appear to be the best place to sell considering you get about 30 million answers to every search word you put into google. You can also spend a lot of time on the web and then forget to paint. I have tried galleries, open air shows, cafes, banks, museums etc. Which one works best for you?
