Does anyone have difficulties in reading Art magazines?. I do and I have cancelled all my subscriptions because of my inability to read the small print format in which they are published. I realise of course that this is inevitable as old eyes deteriorate, and I make no criticisms of the publishers. The only way in which I can use an art magazine now would be via the Internet on my PC where I could increase the font to make it readable. But I cannot find any Online Art Magazines, and wonder whether anyone else has this problem (and I am almost certain that they must do.). The daily papers are available, plus some magazines, but unless I have been searching in the wrong places I can find nothing pertaining to Art. Any ideas or information, please? .
If The Artist were available in downloadable form, I'd subscribe to it again - not because I can't see it (although it doesn't get any easier - a magnifying glass helps: big one, from Bausch and Lomb) but because I don't have the storage space for a lot of paper magazines. Maybe it's something the company would consider (quite possibly they do, and I'm just so unobservant I hadn't noticed - but I can't find any indication on the site that it can be downloaded). Now you mention it, I could wish the type in the magazines were a bit bigger - I have to increase the font size on screens to be able to read anything; and it's a nuisance, I agree. If you have a look through this website though, while I don't think you'll find a whole magazine, there are certainly articles and features from both LP and TA, which I often look at. There's a piece by Martin Kinnear (found the typo!) just now, if you're interested in oil painting. I'm sure there'd be a market for an online magazine - you might like to look at Coloured Canvas, which is an exclusively online publication edited by Pratim Das: I, ahem, grace its pages (as do many others) - so it's eminently achievable.
