Hi y'all, On a light note, I've been paintin n decoratin my new home. Now, most days I'm paintin woodwork, & I mean skirtin boards n door frames, & mundania (If that wasn't a word, it is now!). To start off with, I tried to paint a skirtin board like it was a watercolour 5" by 7" or somethin daft. After a bit, I realized I needed to drop the composition theory, stop looking at how the light falls on the form & get on with slappin some paint on or else the bleedin house would be finished in time for the OGs- maybe! I am a little worried now- is this is going to affect my "artistic" paintin in any way when I ever get time to do more? What happens to ex-painters who do a little diy? Are we ruined for life or has anyone then gone on to run a successful paintin & decoratin firm? I dread to think what creations I'm going to be responsible for once this episode is over. Any antidotes or even anecdotes would be much appreciated. Hell! I'm desperate. :-| 8-) 8-) >:-) (to see someone's face crack into a suppressed smirk, will do!)
