Hi guys,
I have another picture I bought for £1 thinking it was a print in the style my mum would love. But having gone to change the frame it seems all is not as I first thought, it seems too textured to be a print (not to mention a lot older than I thought it was from the paper/colour), and it got me trying to research the artist (M H Long as far as I can tell) but also the fact it has a monogram in the bottom left. Would this suggest it is a work by more than 1 artist usually? Which made me think of an etching that has been coloured, but again it doesn't feel like that somehow.
Is it possible to tell from these pictures what medium this is? And why would there be a signature and a monogram normally what would this indicate? (Also does anyone have any idea what the monogram is??)
Thanks and sorry for so many questions :)

This looks very nice , yes it could be an original watercolour the paper looks like a good quality water colour paper and the edges look as if they have been gummed to a board and painted up to.
monogram...no idea . I think I would have it nicely mounted and put into a contempory frame....( plain and pale) Your mum will like it .
